February 23, 2017

The opening speech

Held at the Hyatt Regency, Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt the atmosphere and ambience was perfect for the Grundfos Annual Sales Convention. Partners were welcomed by the Danish Ambassador for Egypt, Her Excellency Susanne Shine.

During her opening speech she reiterated Denmark’s commitment to climate changes referencing back to the 70’s where Denmark started to commit to renewable energy and work for a sustainable tomorrow. The presentation opened up for discussions on cooperation opportunities between Middle East and Denmark in the field of renewable energy, as well as the global and national movement and need for the preservation of climate and sustainable development. Pumps account for a massive 10% of the World’s electricity consumption and far too much is pure waste. If everyone switched to high-efficiency pumps, we could save 4% of the world’s total electricity consumption – equivalent to the residential consumption of 1 billion people.

Engaging Grundfos partners with new instore branding, education, new product messaging and best practice business stories, Grundfos delivered an insider view of Grundfos products and vision for the pump future.
