Showroom opening marks new start for Grundfos partner
After more than 50 years as one of Grundfos’ leading representatives in the Middle East, pump stockist and technology specialist, M.A.H.Y Khoory, has marked the final phase of a major service and facilities improvement programme with the opening of its refurbished and upgraded service workshops and offices complex in Dubai.
The culmination of more than two years of planning and improvements by the M.A.H.Y. Khoory management team and Grundfos Gulf, the upgraded facilities will ensure that the company’s pump sales and service arm is able to offer a world class service, in accordance with standards laid down by Grundfos.
The programme has seen improvements in virtually every aspect of M.A.H.Y. Khoory’s business, from the renovation and expansion of the service workshop, spares warehouse and service offices, to internal processes, training, internal resources and branding, which have completely transformed the company’s service processes and customer handling.
The reopening of the Dubai facility not only marks the final stage in a process that will ensure M.A.H.Y. Khoory’s ongoing position as one of UAE’s top pump service and sales companies but has contributed to the company’s appointment as one of the first Audited Authorised Service Partners under Grundfos’ groundbreaking AASP programme.
The Grundfos AASP program, which is designed to ensure that customers throughout the Middle East get the same high standards of sales and after-sales service from all members of the company’s Service Partner network, requires companies to successfully complete a demanding external audit, which focuses on key areas including Facilities and Employees, Branding and Communication, Environmental Evaluation, ISO Certification and Healthy and Safety.
Of 18 companies from across the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey, who joined the programme when it was first launched in March 2017, M.A.H.Y. Khoory is one of the first to successfully complete the audit. Speaking after receiving the audit certification, M.A.H.Y. Khoory’s Group General Manager, Mr. Shabbir Hyderi, said, “Working closely with Grundfos Gulf, the team at M.A.H.Y Khoory achieved outstanding results in 2017. Customers have been impressed by our new modern facilities and staff and technicians are visibly motivated and proactive.
“As a result, we are already seeing a drastic improvement in customer satisfaction and fewer complaints. We have made significant gains in our AMC and retrofit business, and the turnover in our service workshop showed a year-on-year increase of 27% in 2017.
“Whilst gaining AASP status is a great achievement, we see this as just a starting point, and we will be continuing to work closely with Grundfos to further develop our service excellence in the future”, he concluded.
